Ductile Iron Pole
Ductile iron has been the workhorse of the municipal water pipe industry for decades. It was developed as a lighter, stronger, more flexible, durable, corrosion-resistant and cost-effective alternative to cast iron. As an engineered material, the microstructure of ductile iron is controlled during production to create a product with a long list of superior properties. One of the most distinctive characteristics of ductile iron is that its graphite composition is manipulated into spherical nodules rather than flakes (as in cast iron). This gives the resulting material “ductility,” which makes it slightly elastic and therefore resistant to cracking when under extreme force.
HANYCO is one of the leading producers of ductile iron pipe for the water infrastructure of cities across IRAN. Highly adept at manufacturing products for use below the ground, HANYCO has now applied its knowledge and experience to developing utility poles that stand up to virtually all types of comparisons, as well as the most demanding environmental and economic conditions.
Utility poles are made from different kind of materials such as Steel, Concrete, Wood and composites. In recent years, concrete poles have been most used in our country. Heavy weight, difficulties in transportation and installation, corrosion of steel bars etc. are the main factors that electrical Distribution company need another alternative for this kind of poles. Recently, Ductile iron poles
If you’re unhappy with the consistency of wood poles, but can’t justify the cost of steel or concrete, Ductile Iron Poles are the perfect solution.
See how the durable, eco-friendly poles are a groundbreaking alternative to conventional distribution poles:
DURABILITY Ductile Iron Poles have a service life of 75+ years, outlasting both steel and wood.
LOW MAINTENANCE Strong, lightweight, and corrosion resistant, resistant to rot, insects, freezing weather, and woodpeckers.
CONSISTENT STRENGTH Unlike wood, ductile iron poles are engineered with a minimum yield strength of 42ksi.
LOW LIFE-CYCLE COSTS ductile iron poles cost less than steel or concrete alternatives.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION Ductile iron poles can be easily drilled. The round, tapered design simplifies orientation for installers.
CONSISTANT APPEARANCE Manufactured by centrifugal casting, consistent dimensional control and will not warp over time like woods.
